Question # 1: What is the initial deposit for a savings account?
Answer: The minimum amount required is GH¢ 10 (¢100,000.00) for local cedi account (varies from different branches). HOME_LINK customers the initial deposit for all Cedi accounts is $500.00 or equivalent.
Question # 2: What is the initial deposit for foreign accounts?
Answer: The initial deposit for foreign currency accounts are $1000 or equivalent.
Question # 3: We are curious as to what the interest rate would be if we decided to save it in cedis. That is a 2-year Fixed Deposit account?
Answer: Our up-to-date interest rate for our various types of accounts can be found on our website.
Question # 4: Please verify how often does fixed deposit accrue?
Answer: Interest accrual is daily but applied at the end of maturity date.
Question # 5: Also kindly let me know if there is any way I can open dollar a/c whilst I am here in Kuwait?
Answer: Accounts application forms and requirements will be sent to you online for you to print it. Fill in your details, sign it, add photo etc. and mail it to us.
Question # 6: I would like to know how I could transfer money from Kuwait to my account in Ghana.
Answer: Just instruct your bankers to transfer your money (swift) into ADB account with Citibank New York. The account number will be available upon request.
Question # 7: Is it possible to operate my account through internet?
Answer: No, internet banking is on ADB's agenda that will make your request possible but not for now.
Question # 8: I am in Israel and I want to open joint saving, Do you also need copies and photos from my wife?
Answer: Yes, as both of you are going to be signatories of the account we require the same information from both.
Question # 9: I want to know whether or not I may have these accounts kept in USD, rather than convert them into cedis?
Answer: Yes, you can certainly have an account in these currencies: USD, GBP, EURO and CFA.
