Mr. Stephen Kpordzih , Managing Director
Appointed Managing Director in August 2009, he holds an MBA (Finance) from University of Leicester, UK, and a Post-Graduate Certificate-Strategic Bank Management from Odense Business School, Denmark. His immense banking experience included Barclays Bank, GCB and Stanbic Bank. He was one-time lecturer in Finance of International Trade at the Chartered Institute of Bankers, Ghana, and a resource person in Treasury Management at the Ghana Banking College. He is an Honoured Member of the International Who’s Who of Professionals for his achievements in and contribution to banking.

Mr. Paul Agyiri , Executive Director
He holds a Bachelor of Laws Degree from the University of Ghana, Legon and a Professional Qualifying Certificate in Law from the Ghana School of Law. After considerable legal practice in the Attorney-General's Department and WAEC, and private consultancy practice in Liberia, he first joined ADB in 1991 as Chief Legal Advisor, before being seconded to the Ministry of Finance & Economic Planning as Chief Director.

James K. Agbedor , Board Secretary and Head, General Counsel
He holds a Bachelor-of-Laws Degree from the University of Ghana and a Professional Law Certificate from the Ghana School of Law. He joined the Bank in 1985 as a Legal Officer and worked up the ladder until he was appointed Secretary to the Board in 2006.

Adam Sulley , Executive Head, Retail Banking
He holds a B.Sc. in Industrial Management from the University of Petroleum and Minerals (Saudi Arabia), M.Sc. in International Business from South Bank University (UK), Dip M and FCIM of the Chartered Institute of Marketing (UK). He has also had further training in Business Process Improvement & Re-engineering and Health Insurance. A Chartered Marketer, he was the immediate past Chairman of the Chartered Institute of Marketing (UK), Ghana Branch and also a former member of the Governing Council of CIMG. He is a panel member of the National Accreditation Board (NAB) and an external examiner to the National Board for Polytechnic and Technical Examination Council (NABPTEX).

S. N. S. Abbey , Executive Head, Operations
He holds BSc (Hons) Degree in Agriculture from the University of Ghana. He joined ADB in 1977 and was selected to participate in a special management trainee program instituted for selected young high performing staff in 1979. After occupying various positions, he was made Co-Manager of the Business Blue Print, and the Microbanker banking software implementation projects, and then Project Manager for the Flexcube banking application implementation project. Mr. Abbey has attended a number of senior management, IT, project appraisal, project management, banking, and leadership courses locally and abroad and he possesses wide experience and knowledge in banking and banking technology.

Abdul-Samed Iddrisu , Executive Head, Transaction Banking & Technology
An accomplished IT professional, he was previously Director of Transaction Banking at Fidelity Bank and Director in charge of Business Solutions of the same Bank earlier, Head of IT of Stanbic Bank and First Atlantic Merchant Bank, and Systems Analyst/Programmer of the Volta River Authority. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science from the University of Science and Technology.

James Baidoo Sagoe , Executive Head, Finance & Planning
He joined ADB from Merchant Bank Ghana Limited where he was Financial Controller/Corporate Development Analyst at Merchant Bank Ghana Limited. Prior to that, he worked in various capacities at Volta Aluminum Company Limited as Planning & Financial Analyst, Deputy Chief Accountant/Assistant Financial Controller, Financial Accountant and Cost Accountant, and Chief Accountant. Mr. Sagoe is a Chartered Accountant and holds an Executive Masters in Business Administration from University of Ghana Business School.

Bernard Appiah Gyebi , Executive Head, Credit Risk Management
He was the Head of Credit at Stanbic Bank Ghana Limited, a position he held from 2008 to the end of December, 2009. He was in charge of the end to end management of the credit risk for the various aspects of wholesale credit, retail credit and credit support and customer debt management. He also provided expert advice to business partners on credit risk by undertaking portfolio analysis credit assessment and management as well as internal control.
Bernard, before joining Stanbic was the Head of Corporate Credit at Barclays Bank Ghana Limited from 1999 to 2008. His responsibilities included monitoring to ensure that the agreed asset quality of the corporate banking portfolio was maintained. During his employment with Barclays Bank, he was the Corporate Credit Manager, the Compliance Officer/Executive Assistant to the Managing Director. He had also worked in the Treasury department where he undertook duties in treasury sales and liquidity Management.

Edward Ian Armah-Mensah , Executive Head, Corporate Banking
He joined the ADB family from Barclays Bank Ghana Limited where he was Head of SME (Medium Unit). He had earlier worked at Stanbic Bank as an Account Relationship Manager, Credit and Marketing Manager at NDK Financial Services Limited. He holds an Executive Masters in Business Administration (Finance Option) and a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration.

Akwelley Adoley Bulley , Executive Head, Human Resources
Prior to joining ADB, Akwelley worked as the Head of Human Resources for Millicom Ghana Limited (TIGO). She also worked as the Human Resource Manager at Holiday Inn, Accra Airport. Before joining Holiday Inn, Accra Airport she worked as Human Resource Manager at Cadbury Ghana Ltd where she also worked as Employee Relations Manager. Adoley holds a Masters of Arts in Employment Studies from London Metropolitan University and a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology with Linguistics from the University of Ghana.

George Baah-Danquah , Treasurer
Coming on board with a lot of experience from across the industry, George was previously Head of Treasury of Access Bank Ghana Limited. Prior to that, he occupied various positions in the Finance Department, Treasury Department, and the Global Markets Department of Stanbic Bank. He holds a Masters Degree in Business Administration and a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration.
